How to make a mouse out of paper: materials and tools

To work you need:

- colored double-sided paper,

- glue stick,

- black felt-tip pen or gel pen,

- scissors.

How to make a mouse out of paper: a step-by-step master class

The mouse is very easy and quick to make! Making it will give you great pleasure!

Step 1

Cut out symmetrical hearts from colored paper: a large one for the body, a medium one for the stand, 2 small ones for the ears and a tail. I cut out without any preparation of templates, by eye. If you are not sure about the proportions of the parts, then first make a trial version on old notebook sheets or notebook covers and specify the dimensions that you like. And then, having definitely decided on the appropriate sizes, cut it out of colored paper with your child.

The photo below shows the details of the mouse: The large heart is the body of the mouse, the middle one is the stand for the mouse toy, two small hearts are the ears for the mouse and the tail part.

Step 2

Fold the large heart in half, then bend the rounded parts at the top to the sides. These will be the mouse's paws.

Step 3.

Apply glue to one half of the large heart along its contour, glue the tail part and coat it with glue on top.

Step 4.

Fold the large heart (the part with the legs and tail) in half along the fold and glue the piece together. The image of a mouse is already appearing! Her torso appeared!

Step 5

— Making mouse ears. Attach small hearts to the sharp part of the body blank (where the mouse's head is planned), move them along the blank to better determine the location of the ears. There are no specific points here. It all depends on your imagination, what image you create! What kind of mouse will you have - timid or brave, cheerful or dreaming?

— Glue the ears on the chosen place.

Step 6

— Cut out two small circles from black paper, glue the circles onto the mouse’s nose on both sides of the toy.

- Draw a mustache and an eye with a felt-tip pen. Or maybe I could also draw eyelashes for her? This is your creativity!

Step 7

Lubricate the bent legs with glue.

Glue the resulting mouse blank onto the middle heart, which will serve as a stand.

Step 9

Make a second mouse, place them opposite each other. Here they are, mice in love!

Creative task:

- Make such wonderful mice as a gift!

— Think, what other crafts can be made from hearts of different sizes? Try to independently develop the design and manufacturing technology of a new craft.

—Have you read the fairy tale about the stupid mouse? Using this technology, make a mouse - a mother and a little mouse to act out this fairy tale. Or maybe you can get creative and make all the characters from a fairy tale?

Valentine's Day in Russia has been a full-fledged holiday for several decades. In fact, February 14 is another reason to tell each other about your feelings and give each other a pleasant surprise.
I suggest you make such a surprise with your own hands, which will be doubly pleasant.
For work we will need the following materials and tools:
- colored paper (scrappaper with a thematic design);
- watercolor/pastel paper white(whatman paper, white cardboard);
- black cardboard/paper (a little);
- half bead or button for the nose;
- scissors;
- universal glue/pencil;
- a simple pencil;
- decorative details (rhinestones, ribbons, hearts) - optional.
AND - The main thing- candy on a stick!

Rules for safe work with scissors:
1. Keep your work area tidy.
2. Before work, check the serviceability of the tools.
3. Do not use loose scissors.
4. Work only with a serviceable tool: well-adjusted and sharpened scissors.
5. Use scissors only in your own workplace.
6. Watch the movement of the blades while working.
7. Place the scissors with the rings facing you.
8. Feed the scissors rings forward.
9. Don't leave scissors open.
10. Store scissors in a case with the blades facing down.
11. Don't play with scissors, don't bring scissors to your face.
12. Use scissors as intended.

Rules for safe work with glue:
1.When working with glue, use a brush if necessary.
2. Take the amount of glue that is required to complete the job at this stage.
3. Remove excess glue with a soft cloth or napkin, gently pressing it.
4. Wash your brush and hands well with soap after work.

Note: If you use cardboard when working, it is not necessary to make a backing.
Cut out the template details.
1. A big heart is the body of a mouse.
2. Ears.
3. Ear pad.
4. Eyes.
5. Ponytail (optional).

Cut out the template details. Body - scrap paper, ears - scrap paper, backing for ears - watercolor paper, eyes - watercolor paper. The antennae are three strips of black cardboard. Strip width 0.5 cm, length 6 cm (options possible).

Glue the ear parts together with universal glue or a glue stick. We crease from the reverse side or simply bend in half, marking the middle line. If desired, the edges can be tinted with a stamp pad or watercolor crayons.

If you use cardboard in your work, you can skip this step.
Glue a large heart onto watercolor paper. This will add strength to the part.

We cut with an allowance of 3-5mm. Two main parts are ready.

We glue the body part along the edge, starting from the sharp part of the part. Follow the arrows, do not glue completely!
Do not bend the part!

Glue the ear. One part of the ear remains free!

Fold strips of black cardboard into the letter “F” and glue them to the sharp part - the muzzle - of the future mouse. This is a mustache. Glue a half bead (button, pompom) on top. This is the nose.

We outline the peephole detail with a black felt-tip pen/marker. You can draw the pupils or glue half beads or beads.

Glue the eyes to our mouse.

The candy fits freely into the unsealed part. We can stop here, but it seemed to me that the mouse’s tail was short

If anyone has a desire, let's move on.
We glue the part of the ponytail from scrap paper onto watercolor paper and cut it out “with an allowance” of 3-5mm. We make creasing with an awl/knitting needle on the reverse side of the part.

Glue along the edge. The tip of the ponytail is completely sealed. Make sure there is room left for the candy stick!

We put the candy into the hole of the main part. Long-tailed beauty! No wonder they often call us: “My mouse!”

Here again the end of the work is possible. Those who have the strength, continue the journey!
Let's decorate the mouse with rhinestones.

Let's make two small tags (if the tag is large, then the small one is a tag)

Let's attach the tags to the back of the mouse. On the back of the tags you can write a congratulation or draw holiday symbols.

I also glued small rhinestones to the nose for nail design. Such droplets! Apply a little universal glue to the tip of a toothpick, use the same adhesive tip to hook the rhinestone onto the flat back and glue it to the surface.

There are many decor options! Have fun creating!

First prepare the parts in the form of small and large. You will use some of them for the body of the mouse, and the other part for the ears and muzzle. You should end up with two small hearts for the ears, one medium one will serve as a stand, and half of the large one will act as a body.

Garlands of paper hearts

You can do it quite quickly if you cut a lot of colored hearts, and then just stitch them to each other on a sewing machine.

Paper heart applications

It is not necessary to use only whole hearts, cut out the core from them, cut them into pieces, the main thing is to get a figurine that looks like some kind of animal.
