What to cook for a child. What can you cook for your child for lunch quickly and tasty: recipes for kids of different ages. Rolls for dad

Very often, parents have to invent more and more new ways to attract the attention of their children to food. For example:

Eat soup and broth, drink tea, compote, etc. through a straw. It is very important to do this with a serious look, preferably several times in the presence of the child. Later he will become interested in this procedure and will be happy to repeat it. A very effective method for taking medications. Under the guise of juice, you can offer your child to drink an unloved mixture.

Use interesting, bright and unusual utensils to feed children.

It is desirable that there is something depicted on its bottom. The child will be encouraged to eat all the food.

Children love candy very much. You can put something healthy in bright wrappers, for example, vegetable puree, cottage cheese, a piece of pie, etc. But this method only works with small children.

You can prepare your child for lunch or dinner for several hours, repeating from time to time what delicious dishes will be served.

In many families, the main way to feed the child is through television advertising, that is, at the moment when the child is captivated.

This is wrong and harmful to the baby's health. It has long been noted that advertising is the cause of aggressive behavior in children. This is explained by changes in the functioning of the central nervous system in young children (in particular, the cerebral cortex), which is caused by a rapid change of bright pictures and audiovisual special effects.

After watching it frequently, children experience tearfulness, irritability, increased nervous excitability, sleep disturbances, aggressiveness, etc. It is worth noting that the focus on mastering ready-made solutions imposed by advertising limits the work of thinking, which subsequently negatively affects the intellectual development of the child. Also, feeding during advertising (as well as reading while eating), in addition to the above, negatively affects the digestive processes.

A fairly common mistake parents make is attracting their child's attention to food through jokes. You shouldn’t turn eating into entertainment, and you shouldn’t spend a lot of time persuading your baby to “eat a spoonful for mommy and daddy.” It is also not recommended to threaten the child with something, for example: “If you don’t eat it, I won’t buy you a car.”

When serving food to a child, you should behave calmly, give him time so that he has time to eat everything, so to speak, do not stand over your soul. If the baby has not eaten anything, you just need to silently remove the plate, and after that do not give him any snacks, such as sweets and cookies, until the next meal.

From time to time, the child should be given the opportunity to exercise independence.

You can invite him to choose what he will eat for lunch or dinner and even cook some interesting simple dish with him. It is very important for children to feel their independence, and even more so - the importance that is manifested in helping adults.

How to feed twins

Feeding twins, not to mention more children, requires preparation in advance. Toys, towels, bibs (for small children), food, spoons, etc. should be placed near the table.
2. You should stick to the planned menu.
3. Portions should be of appropriate size. You should not force your child to eat more than he can.
4. It is recommended to maintain a positive conversation and not shout, even if the children are naughty or capricious.
5. It is necessary to limit the meal time to 20 minutes and allow the child to leave the table after this time, even if he has not finished eating.
6. Don’t focus on the fact that children don’t eat.
7. And finally, don’t allow unplanned meals. This makes it easier to awaken your child’s appetite during lunch or dinner.

Twins often imitate each other's behavior, especially at an early age.

You can use this to your advantage. For example, if one child is hungry and the other is not, you can calmly feed the first, thus giving the second the opportunity to set a positive example.

Situations are very common when parents do not have enough time for their twins, so they leave them to their own devices, giving them a bottle of juice. Drinks create a feeling of fullness, and the consequences of this are refusals to eat normal food.

You should not prepare unusual and delicious dishes for particularly picky children. This will create additional difficulties now and certain problems in the future. A child should be taught healthy food and good manners from childhood.

Dishes for children

In order to increase your child’s appetite, you can prepare a dish with him. This event will become especially significant for the baby if it is timed to coincide with some holiday, preferably the child’s birthday.

In this case, you can create a menu together with your baby, think about who to invite and where to sit, how to decorate the room, what games to play, what music to listen to. And of course, the baby will be interested in taking part in this. He will remember this birthday for a long time.

It is advisable that the whole family take part in preparing for the holiday.

We recommend using a bright washable tablecloth, colorful napkins and dishes for the festive table. The menu should be designed in such a way that it contains only those dishes that can be eaten without the help of a knife.

To decorate drinks (sparkling water, berry fruit drinks and natural juices), you can use multi-colored straws and animal figures.

Decorating dishes for children

To increase a child’s appetite, dishes should be decorated beautifully and interestingly, because the appearance of food plays an important role and contributes to better digestibility of food.

Products must be combined in color, shape and taste.

Red sauces go well with meats, especially fried ones. Pink tomato sauce goes well with fish dishes, and white tomato sauce goes with poultry. In cases where products should have a natural color, you should not use artificial colors. Also, you should not use inedible items or raw dough as a decoration for the dish.

Paying attention to decorations, it should be noted that if products are served in dishes with a pattern, then the patterns on the dish itself should be minimal.

On the surface of various large-sized products you can make designs, ornaments and jelly nets.

When preparing cold dishes, the correct combination of food in terms of cut shape, color and taste is of great importance. Most often, various seasonings and vegetables are used for decoration, which not only give the dish a more attractive and appetizing appearance, but also enrich it with vitamins, organic acids, mineral salts and carbohydrates.

As decoration, you can use raw, boiled, pickled, canned vegetables and herbs, as well as various figures made from them.

When decorating, you should be guided by the main rule: the main dish should not be covered with side dishes and various decorations. You also need to remember that beautiful dishes also stimulate your appetite.

Almost the main principle of decoration is contrast. Green vegetables (cucumbers, peas), parsley, onions and dill go well with yellow (peppers, boiled carrots), red (tomatoes, beets, peppers) and white (cabbage, onions).

Snacks can be decorated with pickled fruits and berries, as well as flowers, etc. from vegetables.

Bells can be made from fresh or pickled cucumbers, beets or carrots. To do this, cut off the top of the vegetable to create a pointed cone. Then cut off a thin layer about 2 cm wide, turn the cone cap over with the tip down, insert an oblong piece of a vegetable of a different color and place it together on a dish or distribute one at a time.

A rose can be made from tomatoes. You should place one tomato with the stem down, make cuts on four sides at the top, leaving about 1 cm uncut. After this, carefully remove the middle of the tomato with a knife.

Remove the skin from the second tomato, starting from the stalk, to make a ribbon 1.5-2 cm wide. Twist this ribbon and place it in the center of the first tomato. Place parsley or dill next to it.

You can make baskets from pickled green or fresh tomatoes.

You can also make baskets from zucchini and squash. To do this, cut off the bottoms of the vegetables, cut out the baskets and cook in salted water until half cooked. After this, marinate the baskets in vinegar diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1 for 30 minutes. Such baskets can be filled with vegetable mixtures seasoned with vegetable oil.

You can make daisies from eggs. To do this, you need to hard-boil the egg, cool, peel, cut off the sharp end, place the egg cut side down and cut the white into thin strips. After this, remove the yolk and shape the white strips into chamomile petals. You can place a circle of yolk or carrot in the middle, and next to it - parsley or dill.

You can also make a rose from eggs. To do this, the egg must be boiled, peeled, cut off the blunt end to a height of 1 cm, carefully remove the yolk, cut off a strip about 1 cm thick from most of the white in a circular motion, roll it into a roll, and cut out several slices from the remaining white and make petals out of them . Place the roll and egg white petals into the recess of the stand.

Roses can also be made from beets. You need to boil it, cut it in half vertically, put it cut side down and cut it into thin slices, from which you can then lay out a rose, placing them horizontally.

You can make bows out of cucumbers by cutting the vegetable lengthwise into thin strips and folding each strip in half. Place two strips opposite each other, and decorate the top with slices of radishes, onions or carrots.

You can make an interesting side dish from cabbage leaves if you boil them, cut off the thickened vein, roll them into a ball and fill them with various fillings.

Tomatoes also make an excellent side dish if you cut them into circles, not going all the way with a knife, then push them apart with your hands, giving them the shape of a flower, and place green peas or an olive in the center. This decoration will go well with various meat and fish dishes or salads.

Tomatoes, beets, carrots or apples can make magnolia.

You can make a lily from onions. To do this, a large onion should be peeled, washed, cut small triangles from its center and separated into 2 parts. The scales should be placed one inside the other so that their sharp ends fall between the petals of the previous row. You can slightly round the lily petals using scissors.

You can make a flower decoration from green onions. To do this, its feathers should be trimmed into panicles, cut lengthwise and placed in a glass of cold water. The onion feathers curl and form a flower.

You can also decorate cold dishes with jellied vegetables. Before pouring, cut them into pieces, and pour small vegetables whole.

Sweet dishes

Sweet dishes are always presented in a bright and varied manner. There are many possibilities for this.

A very unusual and interesting dessert can be obtained by pouring layers of jelly of different colors into molds. This kind of dish can be served as an independent dish or cut into several pieces and filled with transparent jelly.

Cakes and pastries can be decorated with multi-colored creams, drawing various bright pictures on them. The child can also take an active part in this.

While the child is small, his main food is breast milk or formula. The food industry took care of complementary feeding. The first porridges, purees and juices can be freely purchased at a nearby store. But after a year, this is not enough for the baby. The question of what to feed a child is an acute one for parents.

Nutrition for young children

What to feed a child per year? The baby should eat 5 times a day. Dairy products remain the basis of the diet (700 grams daily). Kefir and natural cottage cheese are very useful. In the first half of the day, serve lean meat in the form of steamed cutlets or meatballs. Replace it with lean fish once a week. The baby should receive an egg every other day. Also add liquid cereals (for breakfast) and vegetables to the menu. Cut the fruit into small pieces.

At 2 years old, you can switch to four meals a day. It is best to have thick porridge for breakfast. Lunch should be the most high-calorie meal. In the third year of life, you can introduce your baby to legumes and liver. Stew vegetables in pieces, add garlic and onion. Among sweets, cookies, marshmallows, marshmallows, marmalade, and cocoa are acceptable. With candy, cakes and soda, wait until age three. If you are wondering what to feed your child for dinner, give preference to light dishes: cottage cheese, vegetables, yogurt with fruit. Eliminate fried, salty and spicy foods and processed foods from your diet.

Preschooler nutrition

After three years, your child can eat almost all foods, with the exception of mushrooms and coffee. It is better to wait with them until 6-7 years. Teach your child to healthy food, avoid fast food. Include milk, bread, fruits and vegetables, meat, butter, and juices in your daily menu. Give your baby cheese, eggs, fish, sour cream, pasta 2-3 times a week, limit sausages to 1 time. Delicacies and smoked meats can irritate a child’s stomach, but on holidays you can eat a piece.

Four meals a day are optimal. For breakfast, the easiest way is to prepare porridge or an omelet, as well as cottage cheese with fruit. Lunch should consist of a vegetable salad (50 g), soup (200 g), a meat or fish dish with a side dish (80 g), juice or fruit. For an afternoon snack, offer fruit, a bun, or cookies. For drinks, serve milk, compote, juice, kefir or jelly. What to feed your children in the evening so that they sleep soundly? Recommended meals include cereals, cottage cheese, and vegetables 1.5 hours before bedtime.

Porridge

Don't know what to feed your child for dinner or breakfast? Cook the porridge. Cereals contain many useful substances: starch, vitamins B and E, iron, amino acids, vegetable fats. For children under 3 years of age, cook semi-viscous and viscous porridges. In the first case, 4 times more water is taken than cereal. For viscous porridge the ratio is 3:1, respectively. You can also make puddings and souffles from cereals.

To do this, take 4 tbsp. l. semolina or rice, cook a semi-viscous porridge. Add 4 tsp. melted butter. Grind the yolk with 4 tsp. sugar, dilute a little with water and pour into the mixture. Grated carrots, apples, peach or apricot puree will help make the dish tastier. Beat the egg white and carefully fold it into the mixture. To obtain a soufflé, the mixture is poured into molds and cooked in a water bath. To make the pudding, the mixture is baked in the oven.

Soups

What can you feed your child to satisfy the body’s need for vegetables, meat and water at the same time? Of course, soup. True, modern pediatricians are cautious about meat broth, since when it is cooked, extractive substances are released. It is difficult for an immature digestive tract to absorb them. Therefore, cook vegetarian soups for up to one and a half years. Later, use lean beef, veal or boneless pork for broth. You can cook the turkey or chicken whole. The best fish to choose is cod, perch or pike perch.

How to cook vegetarian borscht? Grate 50 g of beets and 20 g of sour apple, cover with water, add 0.5 tsp. butter and simmer covered for a quarter of an hour. Meanwhile, cut 40 g of potatoes, chop a circle of carrots, onions, and parsley root. Add them to the bowl and simmer for another 10 minutes. Then pour half a glass of water, add 50 g of shredded cabbage and a quarter of chopped tomatoes. After 10 minutes the borscht is ready. For a one-year-old baby, you need to put it through a blender, add sour cream, herbs and serve.

Salads

What should I feed my child so that his body gets enough vitamins? The best option is salads made from fresh vegetables. They should be prepared daily and served as a snack. Until one and a half years, vegetables are grated on a fine grater, after which - on a coarse grater. If your baby is over 2 years old, the ingredients can be finely chopped. Sour cream, vegetable oil, lemon juice, and yogurt are suitable for dressing.

You can prepare the following simple salads:

  • "Green". For it you take a cucumber, two or three onions and lettuce leaves.
  • "Beetroot". It is prepared from boiled beets and steamed prunes. Use vegetable oil and a drop of lemon juice as a dressing. You can also add sugar.
  • Apple and carrot salad with sour cream.
  • Cabbage salad with lingonberries. Add some green onions and season with vegetable oil.

Meat dishes

The kids are growing actively and need protein. During the week they need 4-5 meat dishes and 2-3 fish. It is preferable to use beef, veal, chicken, rabbit and turkey. It is better to exclude fatty meat (goose, duck). The same goes for fish. Recommended by-products include liver, tongue, and brains. Let's look at a couple of simple recipes. How to feed children so that they eat meat on both cheeks?

  • Steam cutlets "Mice". Take 50 g of lean beef. Soak 10 g of white bread in milk. Grind them through the meat grinder twice. Add 2 g butter, salt, form into oblong cutlets. Steam for 25 minutes. Before serving, make ears from carrot circles, eyes from green peas or peppers, and a tail and mustache from parsley. The mouse is ready.
  • Rice with meat. Cut 150 g of lean meat into pieces, boil and mince twice. 3 tbsp. l. Boil rice in water. Mix everything. Place the dish on a plate, forming the body and head of a sheep. Make legs from green onions, eyes from peas, and ears and a mouth from a cut red apple. Children will happily eat the funny character.

Dairy dishes

Each child should receive at least 500 g of milk and fermented milk products per day. Cottage cheese and sour cream can be given 3-4 times a week. All this is offered to children in its natural form, and is also used to prepare porridges, soups, casseroles and desserts.

How to make cottage cheese casserole? Pour a quarter glass of milk into a bowl, soak 1 tsp in it. decoys. While the mixture is swelling, grind 1/4 egg with 1 tsp. Sahara. Mix with semolina. Add grated cottage cheese (5 tbsp), a little apple or banana. Place the mixture in a greased pan and bake.

The finished dish can be topped with milk sauce. To prepare it you will need half a glass of milk. Initially, take just a little liquid, dilute 1 tsp in it. flour. Stir so that there are no lumps. Boil the rest of the milk and pour into the flour solution. Put 1 tsp. Sahara. Boil for exactly 5 minutes, add 1 tsp. butter. Cool and serve with cottage cheese casserole, cheesecakes or dumplings.

Dessert

Instead of sweets and cakes, it is healthier to accustom children to fruits. A preschooler should eat 200-300 g of them per day. Juices are also necessary. You should be careful with berries, especially allergenic strawberries. For variety, you can make your own sweets.

How to feed a child if he demands something tasty? Let's learn how to make milk jelly. Take 150 g of hot milk, add sugar to taste, lemon zest and a little vanillin. While the drink is infusing, pour 5 g of gelatin with cold water. After an hour, when it swells, pour it into boiling milk. Move, strain and pour into molds for further hardening.

A hearty cocktail is prepared very quickly. For it you will need berries, including frozen ones, or soft fruits (bananas, peaches, etc.). Place them in a blender. Pour half a glass of oatmeal, pour milk, add sugar to taste. Beat the mixture well and serve.

Bakery

Bread must be included in the baby’s diet. Among the sweet baking options, you can give your one-year-old baby baby cookies or crackers. From the age of one and a half, introduce your child to bagels, crackers, biscuits and oatmeal cookies. It is better not to give buns, shortcrust pastry, crackers until 3 years of age. They contain unhealthy fats and a lot of sugar or flavorings. Of course, the best option is homemade cakes.

What to feed a child to a loving mother? We offer to bake classic children's cookies. To do this, beat 3 eggs and an incomplete glass of powdered sugar with a mixer. The volume should increase 2-3 times. While stirring the mixture, add about 160 g of flour. Grease the baking tray. Squeeze the dough onto it from a pastry syringe in the form of long strips. If you don’t have a syringe, you can take a regular plastic bag and make a hole in it in one of the corners. You need to leave some free space between the strips.

The cookies are baked over medium heat until golden brown. The strips are removed with a knife. They can be given any shape: braided, bent in any direction. Older kids enjoy playing this game.

Where do the “unwanted people” come from?

Many adults wonder how to feed a small child. Children pick at their plates for a long time, spin around in their chairs and refuse tasty food. Parents have to put on entire theatrical performances in front of their whims, turn on cartoons to distract attention and shove another spoonful of porridge into their mouth.

Why is this happening? Let's look at the most common reasons:

  • Disease. A child may refuse to eat if he feels unwell or is in pain (for example, he is cutting a tooth).
  • Stress. Many children begin to eat poorly during the period of adaptation to kindergarten, when a younger brother appears in the family, and also in cases when the dinner table becomes a place for a “showdown.”
  • Individual characteristics. Thin children eat less than their well-fed peers.
  • Wrong mode. If the family leads a sedentary lifestyle, if the baby can always snack on candy or cookies, then he simply does not feel hungry.
  • Heat. In summer, both children and adults eat less.

How to solve a problem?

If your child has no appetite, follow this plan:

  1. Go to the doctor, get tested.
  2. Study the nutritional standards for children. Perhaps it just seems to you that your child is not eating enough.
  3. Every mother knows what to feed her child if he doesn’t eat anything. Chocolate, ice cream, and chips go well, as they curb your appetite. Therefore, we completely exclude snacks.
  4. The baby should move a lot and walk outside, then he will have time to get hungry.
  5. Buy attractive dishes, place a beautiful napkin on the table, and decorate the dish in an unusual way.
  6. Use small portions so that the child is not frightened by large amounts. Better to ask for more.
  7. Children eat better in company. Place your baby at a common table or place toys on chairs.
  8. Do not force your baby to eat, do not lure him with cartoons. Appetite often appears when adults stop being nervous and putting pressure on the child.

Selective appetite

How to feed a child if he refuses healthy vegetables or tasty soup? The problem of selective appetite lies in improper upbringing. The child realized that he could manipulate his parents and demanded only his favorite food.

The best solution if your baby doesn’t want to eat carrot soup is to calmly send him to play. After 2 hours, offer the same dish. Don't give up after the second or third try, pulling out the required mac and cheese from the bins. Be decisive but friendly. This is the only way to defeat the stubborn little one.

It will become a good tradition in the family to try all new dishes. If the product does not inspire confidence in the child, let him eat at least one spoon. Explain that by doing this we are thanking the person who prepared lunch for us.

Feeding a child tasty food is a difficult task, but it can be done. Cook with love for your kids, sit down at the table in an exceptionally good mood, and nutrition problems will solve themselves.

Children 4-6 years old move a lot and also grow actively, so their energy expenditure and needs for building material must be provided with a sufficient amount of food. Let's look at how many times a child of this age should eat, what kind of food should be prepared for children from 4 to 6 years old, and how to optimally build a menu.

Principles of proper nutrition

A balanced menu for a preschool child is very important. It will not only provide the nutrients necessary for growth, but will also support the functioning of the baby’s entire body, including the immune system.

For the full development of a child, his nutrition must be balanced and correct.

The main nuances that parents of preschoolers should pay attention to are the following:

  • The calorie content of food eaten by a 4-year-old child should be about 1,700 kcal, for a 5-year-old child - about 2,000 kcal, and for a six-year-old - approximately 2,200 kcal.
  • The daily calorie content is distributed among meals in this way: 25% of calories for breakfast and dinner, about 40% of calories for lunch and only 10% of calories for an afternoon snack.
  • It is especially important for a growing body to receive a sufficient amount of protein - from 3 to 3.5 g per kilogram of weight. Protein-rich foods include cottage cheese, meat, eggs, fish, and dairy products.
  • Fats from food are no less important. Their child should consume approximately 3 g per kilogram of body weight daily. The main supply of fats is ensured by the inclusion of vegetable oil and butter in the baby’s diet.
  • Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for a preschooler. Their consumption rate is 15 g per kilogram of the child’s weight. Their sources are cereals, fruits, bread, vegetables, and sweets.
  • A preschool child should eat meat, bread, butter, dairy products, fruits and vegetables every day.
  • Products such as fish, cottage cheese and chicken eggs are given to the child 2-3 times a week.
  • In a child’s diet, it is worth minimizing the amount of food with artificial chemical additives. The simpler the ingredients from which food for a child is prepared, the healthier the dish will be for the baby.

A preschool child should not add vinegar, mustard, pepper, or horseradish to his dishes. They have an irritating effect on the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.

Despite the fact that the child is not small, some foods and supplements should not be included in his diet.

Needs of a child 4-7 years old

A preschool child should receive the following products per day:

Liquid in the diet

Drinking regime is very important for a preschooler. The child should drink 60 ml of liquid for every kilogram of his weight. The optimal drinking volume for a child 4-6 years old is considered to be 1.5 liters. Let the child drink more ordinary water, but his diet may also include fresh juices, weak tea, a coffee substitute (chicory), compotes from dried, frozen or fresh fruits, jelly, fermented milk drinks, milk. It is better not to give sweet carbonated drinks to your child.

What should not be included in the diet?

A child 4-6 years old should not be given:

  • Very spicy dishes.
  • Coffee.
  • Fast food.
  • Mushrooms.

Limit your child's consumption of chocolate, smoked meats, pickled foods and pickles, sausages and sausages.

Do not forget that the child’s taste preferences are now being formed. You have the power to instill healthy habits in your child.

What are the best ways to prepare food?

Although fried foods can be given to 4-6 year old children, such processing should be kept to a minimum when preparing food for children. The most optimal ways to prepare dishes for preschoolers are baking, steaming, stewing and boiling.

Diet

From the age of 4, a child is set to eat four meals a day, including breakfast, a fairly hearty lunch, a small snack (afternoon snack), and a not very rich dinner.

Some children have additional snacks in the form of a second breakfast or meal before bed.

The child's nutrition should be organized so that the preschooler receives food at approximately the same time every day, even on weekends. You should not allow breaks longer than 4-6 hours. If a child goes to bed at 21:00, then his dinner should be no later than 19-30.

Cooking with a child

How to create a menu?

  • When thinking about the child’s nutrition during the day, you should try to provide all the baby’s needs and at the same time make the preschooler’s food varied and tasty:
  • For breakfast, a child 4-6 years old receives 250 g of the main dish, which can be represented by porridge, a cottage cheese dish, or an omelet. Also, for breakfast, a preschool child is usually given 200 ml of a drink and a sandwich.
  • A preschool child's lunch usually includes 50 g of vegetable salad or other snack, 200-250 ml of first course, 60-100 g of meat or fish dish with 120-150 g of side dish, as well as a 150 ml drink and up to 90 g of bread.
  • For an afternoon snack, the child receives cookies, a bun, fruit, kefir, milk, and jelly. The volume of the drink is 200 ml, and the volume of baked goods is 25-60 g.
  • The main dish for dinner is often cereals and vegetables. The child receives this dish in the amount of 200 g. It is accompanied by 40 g of bread and 150 ml of drink.
  • Combine dishes on the daily menu so that one type of food is not repeated throughout the day. For example, if there was porridge for breakfast, then offer vegetables as a side dish for lunch, and if there was a cereal side dish for meat for lunch, then dinner should include a vegetable dish.
  • For dinner, you should not serve foods that are difficult to digest, such as meat or legumes.

It is optimal to create a menu not for one day, but for a whole week, since some dishes are served only 1-3 times a week.

Beat a raw chicken egg into the cooled carrot mixture, add 80 g of cottage cheese and 2 teaspoons of sugar, mix. Don’t forget to add fruits and vegetables and freshly squeezed juices to your child’s diet.

Place minced vegetables in the center of the pancake, wrap in an envelope and lightly fry in a frying pan.

Possible problems

Insufficient consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits by a preschooler can cause constipation. Raw plant foods are good for digestion and strengthening the child’s immune system, so parents should make sure that such food is on the children’s menu.

Never argue with your child because he doesn't want to eat, just wait.

Most children of this age have already formed certain tastes and preferences, and children categorically reject some dishes. Don't force your child to eat foods he doesn't like. For a while, exclude “refusal” dishes from your diet altogether, and over time, offer them again.

If your child has no appetite, first find out if there are any objective reasons for this. Perhaps the previous meal was too rich, the room is very hot, the child is sick or in a bad mood. Wait until your appetite appears, but there is no need to force you to eat. This can not only cause a negative reaction to food intake, but also worsen the child’s digestion.

In children, on the contrary, their appetite is increased. But you also don’t need to rejoice at your child’s desire to eat large portions.

This can cause excess weight gain, limited mobility of the baby, curvature of the spine, the risk of stone formation and other health problems. If your child has already gained weight, consult your pediatrician to adjust both your baby’s diet and daily routine.

From the age of 4, you can introduce your child to cooking. A child 4-6 years old can be tasked with stirring cream, cutting vegetables, making pies, washing herbs and root vegetables, shelling peas and much more. It will also be interesting for the child to watch how mom makes yogurt, cuts fish, and decorates a pie.

Prepare food together: it will not only unite you, but will also develop the child

  • Some useful tips:
  • If your child goes to kindergarten, find out the menu so that in the evening you can supplement your baby’s diet with the missing products, and also so that your dinner does not repeat the dishes from the garden menu of the same day.
  • For a child attending sports clubs, the amount of proteins and carbohydrates in the daily menu should be increased. It is important to ensure that the child does not go to training hungry, and also does not eat immediately after exercise. Immediately after training, it is recommended to drink sweet fruit juice.

Adults often view cooking as a routine process, which may be due to a lack of useful skills acquired in childhood. Kids perceive cooking as a game and a kind of manifestation of growing up. If you explain to them the rules for processing food and working safely with kitchen appliances, you can get a good assistant in the kitchen.

Cooking promotes the development of fine motor skills and develops in children such qualities as concentration and the ability to be fully involved in an interesting activity. This process has a stimulating effect on children who are insecure, allowing them to quickly see the results of their efforts.

You need to involve your children in preparing simple recipes!

  1. Chop 1 sweet pepper, 2-3 tomatoes, large cucumber and red onion.
  2. Mix the ingredients with chopped herbs, salt and season with vegetable oil; you can experiment using balsamic vinegar with olive oil, lemon juice or mustard with honey as a dressing.

  2. heat this mixture on the stove or in the microwave;

  • put slices of sausage or chicken breast, zucchini, tomatoes, grated cheese on top;
  • place in the oven until the cheese crust appears golden.

  4. Stir, place in serving bowls and sprinkle with finely chopped herbs to taste.

Cakes and other desserts for beginners

Cake made from ready-made cake layers

To make a cake without the help of your parents, you need to take ready-made sponge or waffle cakes, which are sold in every grocery store. The dessert filling consists of a mixture:

  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • packs of butter;
  • 200 g of your favorite nuts (peanuts, cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.).

A child cannot handle baking cakes on his own, so parents must supervise this process. From the cooled cake layers, assemble the cake, coating each layer with cranberry-lemon filling. Cover the top of the cake with aromatic berry-fruit mixture and grease the sides. Place in the refrigerator overnight to harden.

How to properly feed the younger generation - entire scientific works have been written on this topic. And here everyone decides in their own way. What to cook for your child for lunch? First, second and dessert or just reheat semi-finished products? As a rule, the mother does not even face such a choice. Healthy and varied food is task number one. The question is often different. How to make food tasty and attractive for your baby?

Before deciding what to cook, you need to determine the basic principles of healthy nutrition for children. The list varies. But there are rules that, if parents follow, will protect their child from digestive problems.

How to feed

Age is not important: whether your child is 3 years old or 10, there are clear nutritional standards. This is a set of recommendations from pediatricians and gastroenterologists. You can’t do without psychological techniques.

This is what an ideal lunch should be like:

  • nourishing and enriching the body with the necessary energy;
  • balanced, i.e. include substances of all types;
  • varied, do not repeat dishes more than once a week;
  • healthy - prepared using the correct technology.

To comply with the principles of nutrition, the children's menu must include all groups of substances: proteins, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins.

Signs of a healthy lunch

To prepare the right food for a child, simply choosing foods to compose the diet is not enough. Children's gastrointestinal organs are not ready for adult food due to their immaturity. This means that food should be:

  • from components with a good shelf life;
  • boiled (or steamed);
  • selected for the current season.

Lunch is usually four courses. Salad, first course, main course and dessert. It is almost impossible for modern children to “feed” this at one time, and it is not necessary. Time, like nutritional standards, is changing, and the attitude towards food that was 40 years ago is no longer applicable. You shouldn’t force a young gourmet to eat more for lunch than he or she agrees to.

The food is prepared in the most gentle way. Prefer boiling, stewing and baking to frying.

What's next?

It so happened that both in name and in priority, soups and borscht are in first place. But those who deliberately ignore meat or fish with vegetable and cereal side dishes are fundamentally wrong. Without a second meal, lunch can hardly be called complete. Please prepare and present variety on the table.

Here are 3 tips:

  • Meat (beef or pork) is best combined with vegetables.
  • Potatoes or rice are suitable for fish.
  • Hot sauce should be replaced with mild creamy sauce.

How about something sweet?

The baby ate everything, thanking his mother with an empty plate. In response, parents rush to reward him and consider candy or gingerbread to be the best option.

But if you are not too lazy, you can pamper your child with a healthy dessert and prepare, for example, baked pumpkin or natural jelly.

Recipes for proper lunches

Now is the creative moment. It's time to put on your apron and roll up your sleeves. It’s good when mom is on maternity leave and can enjoy the process of cooking at the stove.

And if the main cook in the family has the main job and several other children of different ages, then it is better to prepare preparations for the most time-consuming dishes in advance. Long live the freezer and multicooker - to help mom!

Soup is the king of lunch

And this is without exaggeration. Especially when a child is just beginning the transition to an adult table, it is important to instill in him a healthy habit - to eat liquid and hot food for lunch. There won't be another chance.

The main principles of the first course:

  • The optimal portion for lunch for a child from one year to six years is 150 grams.
  • If your baby prefers only soup, make it thick.
  • Don't make bone broth. In order for nutrients to get into the food, the meat must be placed in cold water.
  • The first is stored for no more than two days.

A child can be given yesterday's soup only if it has been heated in portions before.

Zucchini puree soup

The plus is its satiety and lightness. And you can cook it with any broth: chicken, meat or water. This lunch is suitable for a one-year-old child.

What we cook from:

  • 3 l. broth;
  • 4 zucchini;
  • 4 potatoes;
  • 1.5 tsp. nutmeg;
  • 2 onions;
  • 300 ml. cream;
  • 2 carrots;
  • salt.

How to cook:

  1. Wash and peel the vegetables, cut into equal pieces.
  2. Bring the broth to a boil. Add zucchini, potatoes and onions. Cook for 15 minutes over low heat.
  3. Drain the liquid into another bowl and grind the contents using a blender.
  4. Mix with boiled cream. Season with salt and nutmeg.
  5. Stir and add broth to desired consistency. Decorate with greens.

Carrot puree soup like in kindergarten

This is a very tender dish with a sweet aftertaste. An ideal option to prepare as a children's lunch.

What you will need:

  • 2 carrots;
  • 5 potatoes;
  • 1 onion;
  • 300 g processed cheese;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 1.5 l. water;

The main thing during lunch

A culture of nutrition can be instilled in early childhood. And parents should become an example in this matter. So, a few more final recommendations:

  1. It is better to have lunch at the same time, and if possible with the whole family.
  2. Simplicity is the main principle in the children's menu.
  3. Let the soup be liquid, but not greasy.
  4. It’s healthier to season pasta with oil than to put store-bought sauce on it.

Each home continues this list according to its own views on nutrition.

It is important not to go to extremes and remember the main thing - every child is individual. And while the habit of eating healthy food at the right time can be taught, taste preferences are not an easy matter, and they always grow and develop with the baby. All you have to do is listen to his voice.
